Duffryn Mawr Self Catering Holiday Cottages, Pendoylan, Cowbridge...

The local village of Pendoylan is walkable and has a lovely country gastro
pub. There are also two great pubs 1 1/2 miles drive away 'The Three
Horseshoes' and 'The Sportsmans Rest', plus many other more.

Unbelievably the M4 is within a couple of miles and there is easy access to
a great number of golf courses including The Vale, Royal Porthcawl, The
Celtic Manor (home of the 2010 Ryder Cup), Cottrell Park and Rolls of
Monmouth, to name but a few. Chepstow and Cheltenham racecourses
are within an hour or so drive. Tee off times and race cards can be arranged
with prior notice. Half price discount vouchers on tee times are available
for the Vale of Glamorgan if requested in advance. Also, Cottrell Park will
offer a special price on tee times if booked through ourselves.
This offer is for a 4 ball to play on the Button Course for £59 per tee time.

The beautiful Heritage Coast is a few miles away with superb walks and
scenery. An approximate 15 minute drive takes you to Merthyr Mawr sand
dunes, estuary and the beautiful Ogmore beach where horse riding to all
standards is available. There are many public footpaths close by some of
which will take you to the next village of Peterston Super Ely, however
please follow the countryside code.

Roughly 8 miles away is the bustling centre of Cardiff City with its
numerous attractions including museums, the amazing Wales Millennium Centre
where many West End shows perform such as Saturday Night Fever, Footloose
and My Fair Lady etc. Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Bay and the spectacular
Millennium Stadium, home to Welsh Rugby, Grand Slam Champions 2005 and 2008.
Cardiff International Arena is also a superb venue to many great
touring acts, just type in Cardiff International Arena for the website.

Heading west for a few miles is the small, however bustling and trendy market town
of Cowbridge with its designer shops, wine bars and plenty of traditional pubs.

On the 1st, 3rd and 4th Saturday of each month the farmer's market is held
in Cowbridge and Penarth where locally grown produce including vegetables,
cheese, herbs, jams, and meat can be bought. Fresh vegetables are available
from the cottage garden in season.

Taxi and mini bus transport to any attractions can be arranged with prior notice.
